Enterprise Resource Planning has become one of the most important tools in a company to sort out their operations and make productivity more efficient, therefore achieving their goals quicker whilst having all company details sorted in an order for everyone to understand. 

 

Amazon 

Business model is based on the Internet and e-commerce using cloud computing whilst being totally focused on the customer will its own logistics system and any person or company, big or small can sell their products through Amazon where it is easy to use and you can manage everything related to your account brand or product. 

 

Amazons' business strategy is predominantly focused on the customer with quick deliveries and a large product selection along with continuous innovation.  They are willing to invest in new initiatives that might take off rather than taking profit they are thinking long-term.

 

Amazon is a lead cloud computing platform using its own system Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon Web Services provides service storage remote, computing, email, mobile development and security.  According to Investopedia AWS accounts for 13% of Amazon total revenue. Amazon Web services allows Amazon to manage its huge e-commerce platform and cloud infrastructure. Their system provides financial insights, improving cost control and risk management. As its own service it has 24/7 support and can be adaptable to what Amazon needs it to do. 

 

Walmart

Walmart is the world's largest retailer with a model of providing low-cost products digitally and physically. They focus on cost leadership, supply chain optimisation and reviewing data for better decision making. This is Walmart, business, model and strategy. 

 

Walmart uses Oracle ERP  

 

Oracle ERP allows Walmart to manage its huge supply chain from inventory to point of contact with the customer. Provides real-time analytics and reporting they can use Oracle for casting and inventory management. Walmart uses all of its data for decision-making and strategies and all this data comes from Oracle.

 

Nestlé

Nestlé is a Swiss multinational food and beverage company that offer a wide range of products and brands. Leslie strategies for Preston innovation, sustainability and customer satisfaction.

 

Nestlé uses SAP as it’s ERP systems. 

 

SAP allows Nestlé to streamline its supply chain, have total control over inventory management and make each aspect of their business clear to all employees. Nestlé can see in the moment data and analytics which can help them make better decisions across the business for example ordering raw materials or when to reduce prices on certain products. 

 

In conclusion each company has integrated an ERP system which suits their business model and strategy. These systems allow companies for a quicker decision-making and more accurate figures. All of these companies are constantly evolving and must ensure that their ERP system involved with them. A lot of the benefits are the same for each company utilising data collectors for accurate decision-making and transparency throughout the company.
